Cistus Essential Oil  (Cistus Ladanifer)
Cistus essential oil comes from a rose, also known as the Gumrock Rose, that has a soft, honey-like scent. It is believed to be the biblical rose of Sharon. Calming and uplifting, it is helpful for meditating and counseling. It also helps maintain healthy lung function.*

Most essential oils work best when blended with each other. The right combination will enhance the effects and power of the essential oils. For some basic "oil recipes", check out our Recipe page or visit our Essential Oil Blends store for some outstanding "Ready-Blends", created by Young Living.

Cistus Testimonials

"Because of the posts on Cistus, I was inspired to use it on a chronic inflamed tendon in my thumb, with outstanding results." Robin

"I used Cistus for the first time around six months after I started using YL oils. This is my very personal experience. I had been suffering from a very heavy guilt for almost 20 years. I had done something very bad and just could not forgive myself - no matter what - no matter how much counseling - etc. I opened the Cistus and put a couple of drops on my heart area and behind my ears. I love the smell of it, so I was just going to use it as perfume. To my amazement, I felt totally at peace with myself within minutes. I no longer carry a guilt complex, and I have been able to get on with my life. What a wonderful feeling. Nothing had worked before, so I know it is the Cistus. Now I use it as deodorant as well as perfume, and people love the way I smell. I LOVE THE WAY I FEEL. :) :) Thank you for bringing this to me and others."Kathy Sheets

"At the convention, the chiropractor from the YL clinic (sorry, but I don't recall his name) told us that the best oils for sciatic pain are the combination of Cistus Oil and Peppermint Oil rubbed on the lower back. Since I was dealing with sciatic pain during convention, I bought the oils
and started applying them on my lower back that same day - the result was obvious. I had a more restful sleep and minimum pain the next day." Silvia
