Lavender Essential Oil (Lavandula Angustifolia)
Lavender essential oil has a fresh, sweet, floral, herbaceous aroma that is soothing and refreshing. Because it is the most versatile of all essential oils, no home should be without it. It is great for winding down before bedtime, yet has balancing properties that make it just as beneficial for boosting stamina and energy.* Therapeutic-grade lavender is highly regarded for skin and beauty. It may be used to cleanse cuts, bruises, and skin irritations. The French scientist René Gattefossé was the first to discover these properties when he severely burned his hands in a laboratory explosion. Using lavender oil, he noticed a remarkable healing soon afterwards.

Most essential oils work best when blended with each other. The right combination will enhance the effects and power of the essential oils. For some basic "oil recipes", check out our Recipe page or visit our Essential Oil Blends store for some outstanding "Ready-Blends", created by Young Living.

Lavender Testimonials

"We used the Lavender for my son who burned his finger on a hot pan...the pain went away immediately, it blistered up, but has never really hurt since then. He used it a couple of times since the burn after the blister burst and we have been happy with the results. Today I put it on Jen's sunburn---she is very pale skinned and we had a big day at church with water balloons and the like. She didn't even know she burned until this evening when it began itching and burning. I put 2 drops on each shoulder and she hasn't complained at all with the burn stinging or anything since." Anita

"My daughter got shingles when she was 4 and I only had Lavender and Melrose so I put that on her spine and on her owies and it went away and she's never had a reoccurrence." Wendy
