Ledum Essential Oil (Ledum Groenlandicum)
Ledum has been used for years in folk medicine. As a tea, Ledum soothes the
stomach. It is also believed to calm occasional nervousness. It supports the
digestive and respiratory systems and the health of the liver.*
Most essential oils work best when blended
with each other. The right combination will enhance the effects and power of the

Body Systems Affected: Digestive and Immune
System, Skin
Uses: Ledum Essential Oil may be helpful with
attention deficiency syndrome, allergies, bronchitis, colds, fever, viral
hepatitis, influenza, laryngitis, inflamed lymph nodes, skin problems and
thyroid regulation. It may also support the urinary tract and respiratory system
and immune system. It is a powerful liver support and detoxifier (best when
combined with JuvaTone).
Research has shown that Ledum may contain more anti-cancerous and anti-tumoral
properties that Frankincense.
Historical Uses: Ledum Tea has been used for
all kinds of skin problems, kidney problems, coughs and hoarseness. Some sources
show it was used by Eskimos to fight cancer. Native Americans have used Ledum
tea for thousands of years to fight scurvy.
Properties: Anti-Cancerous, Anti-tumoral,
anti-viral, nerve stimulant and tonic.
How to use: Diffuse. Apply to
Vita Flex points and/or directly on area of concern. Best diluted in a
teaspoon of V-6 Mixing Oil for massage on location.

Ear Infection
"My 6 month old got a really bad ear infection. We took him to the doctor and he
went through 3 rounds of antibiotics (what was I thinking!?) and she finally
suggested an antibiotic injection. I drew the line there and she said then we
would have to go to a ENT and get tubes put in his ears.
The ENT could not see us for 2 weeks and we called a Naturopath we
had recently meet and asked her what we could do. By now this infection had been
going on for a couple of months and was only getting worse. She suggested we
take him off dairy, rub Ledum below his ear and down his neck, rub Thieves on
his feet, and apply colloidal silver in his ear.
When we went to the ENT two weeks later he looked in his ears and said there was
no sign of infection. He asked what we had done and of course, in his mind, none
of it made any difference. I knew that the oils were what killed this infection.
