Rash gone with Spikenard
"I broke out in a rash on my chest and on the side of my lower abdomen. I don't
really know what caused it and was against going to the doctor. There was a big
welt on my side and both areas itched so bad that I just wanted to scratch all
the time. I know the scratching was making them worse and they were red and
inflamed. I first started using Lavender and that did help some with the
itching, but it would come back. I read in the Essential Oil Desk Reference
about Spikenard and decided to try it. Well, that did it! The itch stopped
immediately and now both areas are healing and almost gone. These oils are
wonderful."
Inflammation and Pain gone
"Two years ago I had a meniscus tear in my right knee. The surgical repair
didn't provide relief, so I had to follow up with a uni-compartmental knee
replacement. I've had pain and swelling since and my physicians have been unable
to find a medical cause.
I decided to treat it as a possible hypersensitivity to metal, thinking that my
leg might be reacting to the implant itself. I had much improvement using
lavender, Melrose, peppermint and Frankincense, but the days I had to be on my
feet a lot were still miserable.
After using the normal oils on one of the difficult days, I tried adding
spikenard and myrrh out of desperation. I was greatly relieved to have most of
the inflammation subside and to know that I could have more active days as long
as I'm careful to mitigate the strain on my leg with the appropriate oils.
Without them I would have to live a much more restricted life."
