Ylang Ylang Essential Oil  (Cananga odorata)
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil has a sweet, soft, flowery fragrance that has made it a romantic favorite. In Indonesia, the petals are often strewn across a marriage bed. Ylang ylang is extremely effective in calming and bringing about a sense of relaxation, and it may help with releasing feelings of anger, tension, and nervous irritability. It has a long history in skin and hair care products, particularly in Asia, where it is used to promote luxuriant hair.*

Most essential oils work best when blended with each other. The right combination will enhance the effects and power of the essential oils. For some basic "oil recipes", check out our Recipe page or visit our Essential Oil Blends store for some outstanding "Ready-Blends", created by Young Living.

Ylang Ylang Testimonials

High Blood Pressure
"For the last several years I have been working with non-prescription methods to bring my blood pressure down. It would average 145/89. Ylang Ylang has worked wonders for me. At one point my blood pressure was 149/89. I applied Ylang Ylang to the Vita Flex point on my foot and over my heart. Within 20 minutes it was at 121/89. I have now made this application a regular part of my morning."

Heart Arrhythmia stopped with Ylang Ylang
A woman in her 60īs, having suffered cardiac arrhythmia for many years, came for aroma massage. A pleasant 'side effect' occurred. While the woman was laying on the massage table, inhaling ylang ylang in cold air diffuser, she said....you know what...my cardiac arrhythmia has stopped! Usually I can not lay on stomach comfortably - my heart area just feels to uncomfortable, yet after just a few minutes laying here inhaling this ylang ylang I have NO discomfort!
After the session the woman had me taking her pulse - it was beating regularly! She was very pleased...and so was I!
