First Aid - all natural with Essential Oils
Have you ever cut yourself or got stung by an insect or spider and tried to remember what potion or lotion Mom used to put on "to make it better"?

Trying to find a quick remedy in an emergency is a must and we have the perfect, natural solution for you!

The following information was gathered to assist you in creating an all-natural First Aid Kit.

Home Health - First Aid Kit

Essential Oils: Lavender, Purification, Thieves

Bar Soaps: Thieves and Lemon Sandalwood (available at Young Living)

Disposable Gloves, Scissors, Tweezers, Bandages and Gauze Pads

Rolled Bandages, Cold Pack, and Adhesive Tape

1. A Few Indispensable Essential Oils
For burns, bruises, cuts, bug bites or that annoying summer (or winter) cold, there are a few essential oils you can always trust in a rush. We suggest Lavender for soothing burns, scrapes and sun stressed skin. Purification® for easing itching and relieving cuts and Thieves® for strengthening the immune system.

2. Keeping Clean
Keep all sizes of bandages and gauze pads in your kit. Once a minor wound has been cleaned (Young living's Bar Soaps are great for cleansing) and essential oils applied, it is important to apply a bandage so it can be kept clean. Have tape and scissors handy for easy application of gauze pads.

3. Soothing Skin
It's hard to stay in the shade on a beautiful summer day and a little too easy to stay in the sun longer. When you or your little ones has over-stressed skin, rejuvenate it with Young Living's LavaDerm® spray.

4. Staying Cool
When you are in the heat for too long, you may need a way to cool down quickly. Ice water with a few drops of Lemon, Orange, Grapefruit or Peppermint essential oil can hydrate as well as cool down the body. A few dabs of peppermint oil on your forehead and neck will create a cooling sensation as well.

5. First Aid to the Rescue
Be prepared for major accidents by keeping a first aid manual in your kit. Hopefully the worst accidents you have to deal with this summer is only your resident barbecuer's singed eyebrows! But in case of an emergency, make sure you have plenty of first aid supplies.

Testimonials

2 good essential oils for emergency situations. . .
"I had a bad car accident a year ago and hurt my back and a dear friend dropped in and used AromaSiez and Helichrysum the next day. After two applications the back pain was gone and has not returned.
Last week I was walking in a mall downtown Calgary and I slipped on something wet and fell. I hurt my right foot that I slipped with. By the time I got on the bus to come home, I was limping my foot was so sore. It was swollen and bruised when I got home.
I used those two oils right away, a little later that evening and before I went to bed. When I woke up the next morning, the swelling was gone, the color was back to normal and the pain was gone.
It is a week later now and still no pain. My house will never be without those two oils." Donna

Oil and Grease Burns. . .
"Last Thanksgiving as I was taking the 20 lb turkey from the oven, the foil pan, that was on a jelly roll pan, somehow bent and the hot oil and drippings spilled onto my bare right foot. I immediately cleaned it off and doused my foot with the Lavender oil, put on my sock and shoes and left for a Thanksgiving dinner at a community room with some friends.
I felt a bit of heat for a short time and then forgot about it. When we returned home in the evening I remembered my burned foot, but when I removed my shoe and sock there was not a sign of a burn, no redness and no pain.
Lavender is great! I didn't know that peppermint was as good for burns, because I love peppermint, too! I am so grateful for the YL oils. Many thanks," Althea D
